Dear Students, Parents & Carers,

Our VI Form Open Evening, which we held yesterday, was a huge success. Heartfelt thanks go to all the people who worked so hard to make it both informative and enjoyable. Our students donned their orange shirts with great enthusiasm and all the visitors I spoke to were most impressed.

Remembrance Day was marked by the customary two-minute silence, which was carried out very respectfully. Our Student Voice Team and Mr. Cody went down to St.Thomas' Square to lay a wreath, together with other local community representatives.

Looking ahead to some of our planned Yuletide festivities, I am pleased to share the details of two events:

Christmas Quiz – for Students, Staff and Parents
Wednesday 12th December, 7pm-9pm
Tickets on the door - £3 or £5 to include a hot drink and a mince pie
Organized by the Student Voice team - with Ms. Lowthian as Quizmaster - this event promises to entertain and get us all into the Christmas spirit. Proceeds will be divided between the Y13 Prom fund and the Pyle Street Food Pantry. Everyone is invited, so please come along!

Christmas Lunch for Students and Staff
A delicious two-course meal, prepared and cooked by our very own team of talented catering staff, will be served on Thursday 19th December at lunchtime. Available from Monday 18th November, tickets cost £3.00 and can be purchased from Reception or at the Cafe. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday 6th December.
