VI Form Blog - 31 January 2025

We have now reached the end of January and only have two weeks until February half term. Time is certainly flying by for our Year 13 students as they move into the final 10 weeks before their written exams start.

Can I just draw your attention to our 'wear something bright' day on 7 February. It only needs to be one item that is bright and you can make a donation to the fundraising for Arlo via the QR codes around the site. On Monday 3 February, I am holding an assembly for Year 12 to explain some of the exciting changes that we have going on around the site.

In terms of exciting change, we have two new policies, one on attendance and punctuality and one on name changes. Both can be found on our website: Policies

I have been made aware of a very exciting opportunity for Year 12 students with the University of Southampton. They are offering a residential experience from 15-18 July 2025, allowing you to experience the academic and social side of university life. This includes free accommodation and meals for the duration of the 4 day, 3 night programme. Full details can be found here. I would strongly encourage students to engage with opportunities such as this.

Finally, can I take this opportunity to remind you all that Monday 10 February is a staff Development Day so the site will be closed to students.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I will see you on Monday.
